CACAO OVERNIGHT OATS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup quick oats

  • 1 tbsp ground flax/chia seed

  • 1 scoop vanilla vegan protein powder

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder (or you can use chocolate protein powder and omit the cacao)

  • 1 cup soy milk (or plant milk of choice)

  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries

    Topping ideas:

    • Seasonal fruit of choice

    • Walnuts

    • Peanut butter

    • Plant-based yogurt

    • Cacao nibs

METHOD

  1. Place all dry ingredients into a jar, container, or bowl.

  2. Pour in the milk and mix well until everything is combined.

  3. Mix in the frozen berries.

  4. If the mixture is too dry, pour in a little extra water (this will depend on the protein powder you use. You want a consistency that is slightly more liquid than you would want to eat as the moisture absorbs overnight).

  5. Cover and leave to set overnight.

  6. In the morning, top with your favourites, and enjoy!
